Main area of research interest is equine parasites, with a focus on cyathostomin, particularly the relationship between the gut microbiota and the host immune response within the intestinal ecosystem. Main area of clinical interest is in the equine parasitology herd-health investigation, with a focus on behavioural change in equine practitioners and owners, with the view to applying risk-based analysis to create sustainable parasite control programmes.
