Richard is Professor of Zoology at the School of Biological Sciences, University of Bristol.
Research focuses on the ecology, behaviour and control of arthropod parasites and disease vectors. Awarded the prestigious WAAVP/Bayer Prize for Excellence in Research in Veterinary Parasitology in 2013.
