It has been brought to our attention by vets that routine preventative treatment against Angiostrongylus vasorum is dropping in the current crisis and cases of angiostrongylosis are being seen as a result. This condition can be fatal and is an example of the importance of routine parasite prevention treatment for cats and dogs which remains vital during the COVID-19 outbreak. Posting, delivery and collection points for treatments means that cover can continue while minimising transmission risk. Without routine prevention, cases will rise leading to increased pet morbidity and mortality.
